Video homage are all the rage these days. Petrolicious, Dept of Speed and cie features a well know recipe: an interview of the owner liven up by a slow tune and segmented between shots of the car standing still and of the road. The results are beautiful but unfortunately they often feature the same categories of car over and over again; the 70-80's Germans, 50-60's Italians, missing a wide variety of interesting steel.
What unloved cars deserve a video homage?

I have a seemingly unpopular opinion about everything here, so lets continue!
The smart fortwo. A seriously unloved and misunderstood city commuter.

I rarely see videos of the Lancia 037. Too good a car to be forgotten.

I first choose this picture to illustrate my point.
I changed it at the last minute, I don't know why exactly.

The only reason it's unloved is because the people who buy it don't give a shit about cars and the people who don't buy it care enough about what they drive to stay away.

I should say the AW11 MR2. I know there are plenty of vids out there about it, but most of that is hooning, thrashing, tuning, autox, etc. Still, at least there are vids about that, so i'll pass on that this time, as there are countless others.
Like the Peugeot 504 Coupe.
Or the Lancia Fulvia. Loved car, still only precious few videos out there.
Or the Ford Capri
Or the Fiat 124 Spider
Oh man, there are so many, but it must be dusty in here....

That's because it's terrible in every way.
The only advantage it has is being great at double parking.

I love these things. They're so god damn ugly, that you can't help but love it. Just imagine; some designer (or team of designers) spent all his time designing it, imagining his creation being loved by families going on family vacations and stuff. Instead, it came out horribly terrible looking. You can't help but love it though.

You are reminding me about the two Chrysler Lebaron convertible that I saw at a local antique car show this weekend. Between a cab over engine Ford and a second gen Riviera, that was a strange sight.

...terrible in every way.
I have no problem with it other than the catastrophic understeer. I cured that earlier this year by giving it tires that are almost twice as wide as stock. Now it feels and drives like a go kart. And I still get 42-48 MPG and I jump on the rev limiter almost daily (this is almost a requirement with such a tiny engine).
It grabs attention like a Ferrari, is as cheap as a 90's econobox to insure, and only takes $35 to fill up when it's $4 a gallon.
Yeah, it can be improved in some areas (transmission, cabin quietness) but it isn't nearly as bad as everyone says it is. It's a city car, not an economy car, so of course it falls flat on the open road and rural suburbia. :)

Definitely the Maserati BiTurbo. There is literally nothing on this car, despite the fact that even the least powerful variant had the speed to keep up with an E30 M3 (until about 100 or so).
Think they're too breaky? The made steady improvements all the way up to 1997 (longer for the 4-door).
I want to get a GoPro, a dedicated audio device and a drone camera just so I can do some videos about cars like these.

Does a unbreaky Italian car can still be called an Italian car?

I think we'll never know :)

It's OK if you promise to work on your feelings towards this car. You have to establish a long term plan which will end in you actually liking it.
